RIVERcamp is a six day family camping event where hundreds people of all ages gather together to experience a revelation of the Father's love. This includes time to worship God, learn from the Bible and pray for each other.
The River of God isn’t a place or an experience. It’s the very life of God itself. When the Bible refers to life giving water it represents the life that flows from God. To be in the river is to be in God. When we drink from the river, we drink from God and when we release the river, we release God. We set our affections on God.
They are abundantly satisfied with the fullness of Your house, and You give them drink from the river of Your pleasures. For with You is the fountain of life; In Your light we see light.
Psalm 36:8-9
God speaks to us about rivers throughout the Bible, right from Genesis to Revelation. As you study the references to the life giving River of God, we come to understand that it represents both His life and power.
As God releases His love, healing and life changing power through us, rivers of living water will flow from our innermost being. The River of God is being released and as its flow increases, it will result in the greatest harvest of life. The river flows from the throne of God and we are called to release streams of living water from our inner being to bring Heaven to earth.
When we think of a river, we envision a moving body of water full of energy, force and life. It can be incredibly powerful with the strength to transform entire landscapes. It can be gentle and calm, always bringing life to the land in which it flows.
Sometimes rivers meander slowly, sometimes they move in a mighty rush, but they always have a destination. What I really love about this image of the river is that the farther down stream you go the bigger the river gets.
At RIVERcamp, we encourage you to enter in and experience God’s river, receiving a fresh revelation of the Father’s love. Whether it’s your first time or if you dwell their, we know this week will impact and transform your life.
Who is RIVERcamp for and what’s it like?
The events are for all the family, with venues for infants, children and teenagers, as well as adults. There are two celebrations a day, usually at 10am and 7pm, with plenty of time in the afternoons to chill out and relax with friends and family, make new friendships and explore the local area. More.
On Monday, the evening celebration commences at 6pm, finishing about 8.00-8.30pm.
What happens?
The purpose of and events at RIVERcamp are all about God. During the week, we learn and experience more about Him, taking plenty of time to worship Him and rest in His presence. Gathering together in the Main Pavilion, one of the youth or children’s tents, we get together in one place to meet with Him.
In each of the venues you will find worship, teaching and ministry. More
Worship
Worship is about following Jesus throughout all of our lives and choices. During our meetings, we focus and spend more time specifically thinking of nothing but Him. This can involve singing, dancing, shouting, listening, waiting, expressing our longing for and praise of our awesome and bountiful God.
Teaching
We have invited a number of guest to speak and share their hearts with specific messages and teaching. They will help us to get into the Bible and discerning God's words for us in this season, releasing the Kingdom of God.
Ministry We're desperate for an encounter with God, for Him to meet and change us, so that we can then go and change His world. Throughout the week, we will make as much space and time as possible for God to have His way in our meetings and we want to spend time seeking Him and praying for each other. During this time, we will ask God to heal us, to deal with where we've messed up and creating space to get to know the love of our Father.
Who is it for?
RIVERcamp is about following Jesus better, so is primarily aimed at Christian people, young and old alike. You don’t have to be a Christian to come or part of any particular denomination. Each year we see people’s lives impacted by God in such a way that they desire to follow Him. Others share how God has healed their hearts or their bodies; how they have experienced a fresh revelation of the love of God. Each person’s experience is different; each with different memories and testimonies to share. What will yours be?
