If you are up for being our part of the action and applying to be on a RIVERcamp team, please follow the easy steps below to ensure we get all your details and can process your applications successfully.

Age Limits

We ask that everyone who comes on a team is at least 16 at the time of the event.  Some of the teams require you to be 18 and over, while others require you to be 21 and over.  Please check the descriptions carefully before applying to make sure you qualify.

How To Apply

Look through the pages and the downloadable job descriptions associated to see what you think you'd enjoy.  Apply online through our booking system.  If the role you are applying for includes a free place, you won't need to pay anything at this stage, part from things like electrical hook ups, etc. We will let you know if you're on a team as soon as possible.

Apply By Post

Print off the job roles and an application form, fill out everything and send back to RIVERcamp. We will let you know if you're on a team as soon as possible.

What Happens Once You apply?

• Once you have sent us your application a few things will happen.
• Firstly we'll check there is space for you on the team you have requested.
• Secondly, we'll chase up references.
• Once these two things are sorted, we'll confirm your place on team.
• This process could take several weeks, depending on the availability of your references and how busy the office is.

When Teams Are Full

Some teams do fill up pretty quick so please be sure to get applications in as early as possible.  Applying doesn't necessarily mean that you get a place on a team either.  We will contact your named references and ensure you are a suitable person for the role and to check that your church supports your application to be on team!

Concessions

For those serving on a team some concessions may be offered to you.  These do vary from team to team, so please ensure that you check the job description thoroughly.  Most teams offer a free place at the event.  Although you'll be working upto 8 hours a day, you should have some spare time to get to some meetings and relax!  A lot of the teams are entitled to meals also.

No need to send in a booking form!

• If you book on line the application is also your booking form, and therefore there is no need to send in a separate booking form.  
• If you book by post please send in a booking form with your volunteer application form.

We ask that you do not send in any booking fees with this application unless the role you apply for doesn't offer a free place.  If you are unsuccessful in your application, then we will require that you either cancel your booking in writing, or send full booking fees to gain a pass to the event.

Reference

The referee you nominate on your application must not be related to you in any way. If the minister of your church is a relation, please use another leader from your church and specify their job role. Once we have received your application we will be contacting your minister or church leader for a reference.
