I am sure there is something inside every human that desires to be a part of something that is bigger than themselves. To feel like we are contributing to and affecting the outcome of something that on our own we simply could not and RiverCamp in so many ways embodies this very idea. Every year people from around the UK come together to serve and contribute towards what is an amazing week of encounter, exploration and experience.
At RiverCamp we set out to encounter God, explore identity and experience family. Whilst in the midst of that we catch a glimpse further into the heart of our good Father for our communities, the UK and around the rest of the world. There is something about a moment when the Christian community gathers together, across different denomination and backgrounds that pleases the heart of our Heavenly Father. Each year many festivals happen when such moments take place and it’s what I love more than anything about RiverCamp.
However, there is something else that is close to my heart about the RiverCamp community and that is each year when many turn up to serve, sweat and set the tone for our annual gathering. Our various ministry teams embody the spirit of RiverCamp and in doing so begin to understand and experience this desire we have to belong to something bigger and beyond ourselves.
If you are thinking of coming to RiverCamp 2016 then why not join one of our many teams and experience the joy of serving alongside new people. We have volunteer positions available and would love you to consider being on team, even if you have already booked in let us know, it’s not too late.
