Electrical Hook-Ups
River Camp will undertake to provide electrical hook-up to all caravans / tents who have requested and paid the agreed fee prior to the cut-off date of 31 July 2013. The electrical team reserve the right to refuse electricity to anyone requesting after this date. Please read this information prior to requesting an electrical hook-up.
On the first day of RIVERcamp, the electrical supply may not be instantly available as the electrical team are in the process of laying out cables, etc.
In the interests of safety, those requesting a hook up must have a cable which is RCD protected with a 16 amp plug, to connect to the RIVERcamp’s supply. The supply of electricity is by onsite generators that operate from approximately 7:00 am to midnight. If you need electricity outside of these times for medical reasons, please contact the RIVERcamp Office at the point of booking.
Electricity can only be supplied to those for the purpose of:-
- the operation of internal lights for tents / caravans
- the operation of a small fridge
- the operation of the water supply for the tent / caravan
- charging of batteries
If you should require electricity for any other reason e.g. medical, please advise the booking office at least one month prior to River Camp so that your request can be considered by a member of the electrical team.
River Camp cannot supply electricity for domestic kettles, electrical cookers, toasters, hairdryers, hair straighteners, TV’s etc.
Failure to observe the above may result in you not being provided with electricity, or losing your electricity supply.
